How many times were you worried about your personal information being tracked down by NSA or Google without your consent? Well it is a fact to worry but not until a developer figured out to block them to access you, isn’t it cool? It’s called Searchonymous and does exactly what it says
How does it work?
Well it works on simple principle of Nature: You obscure your way to stop something and this app does it by simply not allowing cookies or trackers track itself from Google by blocking them. This is done by blocking certain Google cookies (such as the PREF-ID) or generating randomized ones (which are worthless for tracking).
What if I want to save my search?
Well though it can block trackers and cookies to Google but it allows to login to your Google accounts securely and safely without any problem. In fact it saves your search preferences and login credential like gmail, youtube, etc as if it never send any information to Google server…Well often you see a Tail-ender giving an all-round performance and still manage to beat the specialists ?
Who developed it?
It is made a Berlin resident and Software developer MorbZ. He seems to join the business of Open source extension in recent and associated with Mozilla lately.
Please note that even if no tracking cookies are sent the NSA can possibly try other techniques to track you (e.g. by IP or browser headers) but these are not as accurate as tracking IDs that are sent on every search.*
